I know this is actually posted a day late, but yesterday was full of fun, read on...
Today is Pi day and we had pie (pecan, pumpkin, and apple). Tiny tart size pies that we cut into thirds and we all had ¼ of the pies. Which worked great because now there is only 3 pies with ¼ each left, so we all get a tiny bite of pie tomorrow nice. We went to the Science Centre (https://www.ontariosciencecentre.ca) in Toronto for the day it was quite a lot of fun. The first thing we got to explore was the HydroOne information Centre (http://www.hydroone.com/Pages/default.aspx) L got a shiny new safety vest and pencil for passing the electrical safety quiz and we got to interact with the staff and several touchscreen displays which were quite interesting and knowledgeable (not in that order). They also had a solar power charging station for handheld devices it was cool. We went through the brain exhibit again; more slowly this time, and then we explored a few places we hadn’t been for a while. In the creative area L built a stethoscope that could also be a small phone, or a spyglass (sans glass). It was fun. We had a wonderful conversation with Justin, one of the scientists that works at the Centre (Engineer) regarding paper airplanes and the best way to make them so they fly for a long way (round). We also got to see Safari Jeff (http://safarijeff.com) his show is fast paced and very informative. We got to see a lot of fun animals and watch one of them eat lunch (turtle had salad). There was a nice variety of reptiles and the side screens with the other animals made the show well rounded, not just reptiles, but other creatures and locations as well, very cool.
